Site Details

The wide strips of 'ridge and furrow' at Bernwood Meadows were created in mediaeval times by teams of oxen ploughing the land. The fields have not been ploughed or had fertiliser added since and, as a result, are now full of wild flowers.

Grid reference SP610110. Head towards Stanton St John from Oakley. Cross the M40. Continue past the forest and a car park is on your left.

Access

Open to the public but stay on the footpaths. Dogs must be kept on leads.
